Principle of horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge:

        The horizontal spiral sedimentation centrifuge is mainly composed of high speed, the same speed direction and slightly higher or lower speed than the drum, differential and other components. When the suspension is to be separated into the centrifuge drum, the high-speed rotating drum generates strong centrifugal force to settle the solid particles with higher density than the liquid phase to the inner wall of the drum. Due to the different speeds of the spiral and the drum, the two exist When there is relative motion (i.e. speed difference), the solid phase deposited on the inner wall of the drum is pushed to the outlet of the small end of the drum by the relative motion of the screw and the drum, and the separated liquid is discharged from the other end of the centrifuge. The function of differential (i.e. gearbox) is to form a certain speed difference between drum and screw.

        According to the direction of separation of clarified liquid and sediment after the mixed liquid enters the drum, it can be divided into countercurrent structure and downstream structure. In the downstream structure, it can be divided into common downstream structure and full downstream structure.

Main dewatering process of horizontal spiral discharge sedimentation centrifuge

The suspension enters the drum from the feed pipe, the solid particles are accelerated to settle to the inner wall of the drum by centrifugal force under the action of centrifugal field, the settled particles are pushed by the blades of the screw conveyor, and discharged from the settling area (straight cylinder section) through the drying area (cone section) to the solid outlet; the clarified liquid phase overflows from the overflow hole. Thus, the solid and liquid phases can be separated automatically and continuously. It can be used in dehydration, concentration, classification and clarification.
